Welcome to the start of the 2009-10 school year at St. Anthony's. I am excited to be part of the Middle School team and the St. Anthony family. I bring with me many years of teaching and administrative experience which I hope will enhance the program offered here at St. Anthony's.

While I will serve as the 8th grade Homeroom Advisor and Religion Instructor, I will also teach all Math and Science classes for the Middle School grades.

I hope my pages offer you useful information and helpful resouces to assist you in your child's educational experience. Please feel free to email me at grade8sas@sbcglobal.net with any questions/concerns you may have throughout the school year.

COURSE MATERIALS

For all classes / grade levels, students are required to arrive to class on time with the following:

1. Textbooks

2. Catholic School Studnet Assignment Book

3. Loose-leaf lined paper - college ruled

4. Pen and pencil - (NO MECHANICAL PENCILS)

5. Subject folder

6. All assignments and required materials

7. Good attitude along with a smile

HOMEWORK POLICIES

Homework is required for students to practice and gain mastery in specific skills. Homework is posted daily, must be recorded daily, and must be returned daily. Students arriving with missing or incomplete assignments will receive incomplete homework notices and/or consequences as posted in our Middle School Discipline Policy. Should your child be absent from class, I ask that you call or check webpage for assignments. Students will be given additional time to complete homework when necessary. Generally, when a student is absent one day, there will be one day to make up the assignment. In addition, should an emergency keep your child from completing an assignment on time, simply send along a signed note explaining. After raising two children myself, I understand when things "come up". Life happens.
